Jack Vs. Adolf Hitler

In Lord of the Flies, a novel by William Golding. The boys were stuck on a deserted island. Jack is the savage and the one that always got in the way. Jack and Adolf Hitler were both dictators. This is true because they both used violence to keep their power, limited free speech, and blamed others to keep the attention off of themselves.

One major similarity between Jack and Hitler is that they both use violence and fear to gain and keep power. Golding writes, “From his left hand dangled Piggy's broken glasses.” (3). Jack's ability is to kill and impress the other boys on the island. After Jack uses violence to steal piggy's glasses he leads the other boys to go away. The boys value Jack to use his violence used to secure Piggy's glasses. ''The violence of Hitler and the Nazi era is always in the background, of course but entirely unacknowledged.’’ (2) Hitler used violence and terror to control. Hitler carried out acts of violence. Hitler use of terror, jack also used terror to control.

Jack and Hitler both limited free speech. Golding writes, ''We don't need the conch…''The conch doesn't work on this side of the island.” (3) Jack never respected the conch. Only Jack wants to hear his voice and no one else’s. He wants to control the boys. On History Learning it states, ''Censorship dominated the lives of the ordinary citizen in Nazi Germany.'' (1) Hitler gained power because people would only hear the Nazi party. Hitler and Jack both limit the voice of their people.

Jack and Hitler blamed others to keep the attention off of themselves. Golding writes, “He isn’t a proper chief…He’s a coward himself.’’ (3). Jack makes Ralph look bad. Jack wants the boys following only him and blaming Ralph for their problems. “History Place” states, “During the rise to power Hitler had repeatedly blamed the Jews for Germany’s defeat in World War I economic hardships.” (2) Hitler blamed the Jews for their country’s problems. It took the attention off of him. Jack and Hitler both blame others, so they can be in charge.

Therefore, Jack from Lord of the Flies, is similar to Adolf Hitler in many ways. They both were savage. They both wanted to control everything.

What Was Your Favorite Memory?

My favorite memory was when I was on summer vacation. My family and I went on a trip. We went to Fresno and Bakersfield to visit family and to stay for a week to get to know the city. It was my first time going to Fresno and I really enjoyed it. I loved being there! When it was the last day, I did not want to leave.

I was about 8 years old and I was taking pictures of everything. It had been a very long time and I hadn’t seen my cousins, so I was taking pictures with them. They were happy and shocked at the same time because my family had not visited in so many years. My cousin Eric was already 21. He had grown up and he had a girlfriend. I meet his girlfriend and her name was Tanya. She was very tall and pretty. My Aunt Vicky and her husband Eliseo looked the same but a little bit different. They were kind of older and they looked happy and healthy. They were very happy they got to see us. They told me that I grew an inch and I thought I was still short. They even told me I looked different. However, in my opinion, I thought I still looked the same. Once everybody got comfortable, time went by so fast that it was already time for dinner! Before I knew it, it was time for us to go to sleep. I said, “I’m excited for tomorrow!”

In the morning, when we all woke up and said our, “Good morning!” We ate breakfast. I was getting ready for the day while my cousins were in the living room watching T.V. My parents, aunt, and her husband were in the kitchen talking. They told us we were going to go to the snow and I was so excited that I ran to go get my things. It was going to be the first time ever seeing snow!

All of us got ready to go. I was wearing three jackets and three pairs of pants. I felt like a huge snowman wearing clothing after clothing. I saw my cousin walk out of the bathroom wearing a bunch of clothes too and I started to laugh. My mom, cousin, aunt, husband, and I all got in the car to leave. We took a white minivan.

When we got to the snow I was the first one to get out. I ran to my mom to get her camera and I started to take pictures of everything. I felt so happy that I wanted to cry. I wanted to live there in the snow. At the same time I was cold. We all spent out whole day in the snow. When we left, we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant called Taquierllos. When I got back home, I was so tired I fell asleep right way.

I learned that anytime, anywhere you can have fun and share moments with your loved ones. You can also enjoy your day by having a positive attitude. It was a great memory. I will think about it until next time. Hopefully, I will get to visit Fresno again and visit the snow.

China's change in the world

Before china back in the 1990's in between I don't know people in china make things that are made in ''China''. while others design things in factories and they work with machines to make clothing and fabric. I think it's interesting that many people in china know how to make many things on their own. while others brainstorm and use scratch paper make new things and to sell new products to other people that visit their cities, or they can deliver things to the United States and get millions of dollars for every item that they deliver and sell. China people also read the news paper to see what's going on in the world and try to figure out if they can be in a competition with other country's and try to win money. People in china find articles in the newspaper to help out their city and the people around them that are struggling in hard situations. While others recycle, and try to help out the nature around them. I think china in the past few years has improved and grew so many people travel from villages to cities and cities to villages. A train in china travels almost around the world and to different cities taking people to travel and have them experience what's it's like in a different city. Some Chinese people cam not just from china they can live in china but be born in Tokyo, Japan , Philippines ,etc. While others don't know that much English only their own language so it might be difficult to speak to other people. I believe some china people would have their phone were it's programed with apps to be able to communicate with them while others might use a dictionary. I also think people in china enjoy their job and are happy how they are living know than they were back than because before they were living in horrible conditions. Chinese people were struggling and living in the streets and suffering because how they were living many didn't have jobs others were sad and depressed and some of them only lived in one house with not many things to support them. China also had people treating other people bad. Manny didn't like the rules. China's has also improved in many new rules and some freedom which were in better conditions and made people live better. China in the past years has collected at least $4,000.China fought hundreds of wars. Approximately $5,000 islands lie off the Chinese cost. one in every five people in the world is Chinese. Fortune cookies are not traditional, they were invented in 1920 at a  factory in San Francisco! In 20e04 Athens games were estimated to cost ground $15 billion. I think I would go and visit china because  I can learn many things and speak their language.
