What Was Your Favorite Memory?

My favorite memory was when I was on summer vacation. My family and I went on a trip. We went to Fresno and Bakersfield to visit family and to stay for a week to get to know the city. It was my first time going to Fresno and I really enjoyed it. I loved being there! When it was the last day, I did not want to leave.

I was about 8 years old and I was taking pictures of everything. It had been a very long time and I hadn’t seen my cousins, so I was taking pictures with them. They were happy and shocked at the same time because my family had not visited in so many years. My cousin Eric was already 21. He had grown up and he had a girlfriend. I meet his girlfriend and her name was Tanya. She was very tall and pretty. My Aunt Vicky and her husband Eliseo looked the same but a little bit different. They were kind of older and they looked happy and healthy. They were very happy they got to see us. They told me that I grew an inch and I thought I was still short. They even told me I looked different. However, in my opinion, I thought I still looked the same. Once everybody got comfortable, time went by so fast that it was already time for dinner! Before I knew it, it was time for us to go to sleep. I said, “I’m excited for tomorrow!”

In the morning, when we all woke up and said our, “Good morning!” We ate breakfast. I was getting ready for the day while my cousins were in the living room watching T.V. My parents, aunt, and her husband were in the kitchen talking. They told us we were going to go to the snow and I was so excited that I ran to go get my things. It was going to be the first time ever seeing snow!

All of us got ready to go. I was wearing three jackets and three pairs of pants. I felt like a huge snowman wearing clothing after clothing. I saw my cousin walk out of the bathroom wearing a bunch of clothes too and I started to laugh. My mom, cousin, aunt, husband, and I all got in the car to leave. We took a white minivan.

When we got to the snow I was the first one to get out. I ran to my mom to get her camera and I started to take pictures of everything. I felt so happy that I wanted to cry. I wanted to live there in the snow. At the same time I was cold. We all spent out whole day in the snow. When we left, we went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant called Taquierllos. When I got back home, I was so tired I fell asleep right way.

I learned that anytime, anywhere you can have fun and share moments with your loved ones. You can also enjoy your day by having a positive attitude. It was a great memory. I will think about it until next time. Hopefully, I will get to visit Fresno again and visit the snow.
